Coma
Marius Bubat and Georg Conrad aka Coma combine Pop and House, Techno and Indie Rock with an eclectic approach, creating highly recognizable music with an emotional impact. Even though emerging just a short time ago, Coma have already seen their share of travelling, with a recent appearance at SXSW 2012 and even a journey to Vietnam. It was there the boys teamed up with Norwegian DJ Charlotte Bendiks, as they fought their way through the chaos of Hanoi's traffic. The Vietnamese traffic can be a truly overwhelming experience for any visitor, so they took the rare opportunity to capture the fascinating and terrifying sounds from Hanoi's vehicular hodgepodge. Back in the comfort zone of their hotel room, Charlotte pulled out a shaker egg and started singing on top of the traffic recordings and the rest is history, as they say. The friends met again in Germany later that summer and decided to spend some days in the studio to finish the track. The brilliant result is a deeply romantic track paying homage to the feelings of friends sharing expressions and experiences. The record's message should be clear by now: shake, shake, shake!" On the B-Side, French DJ, producer and Marketing Music Records head honcho Tim Paris turns up the heat on "Hanoi" with twisted synths and darkened vocals in a massive remix. And as a special treat, Coma even produced a video for "Hanoi" featuring beautifully shot footage of the city's streetlife.
