Charlie Parker has established himself as one of the greatest creators of jazz, a genius of improvisation. It brought the emotion of the blues to its point of glow. He reinvented the blues, playing on transition chords and reversals to develop new harmonic lines. He had such a powerful breath that he could play louder than the other violists and carry an entire orchestra in its tone.
