On 28 August 1962, a historic meeting of two exceptional artists took place in Washington D.C.: Dave Brubeck and his band and Tony Bennett and his trio were invited to perform as part of the 'White House Seminar American Jazz Concerts' series. The Dave Brubeck Quartet was in great demand three years after their surprise hit 'Take Five', arguably one of the best known and most successful jazz pieces of all time, and Brubeck was one of the leading figures in modern jazz.
