March
Wit whither wander is the first studio album of The March. It is raw, unedited, unfiltered, unapologetic. The songs are riddled with a classical/rock cello/ a bouncing rhythmic guitar, drums, and a battle ready bass. The album has some pretty amusing parts. A lot of songs about rockets. 'Flew from the planet' is a take on Ray Bradbury's Martian chronicles. 'Suntan', is about an extremely vain girl that will stop at nothing to get a tan. And we have a lot of songs about animals too: In 'the wolf' we turned the whole bush era into 'the three pigs and the big bad wolf, fairy tale. In 'Oakdale' animals and trees overthrow humans. So yeah, on the whole i think our record is... it is not a masterpiece, but it is very interesting and fun to explore. We have so many ideas. And of course the cello is like a masterpiece just by itself. 'a new promising local artist.' From the Onion's Schell beer music sampler.
