Told from the point of view of both the police and their targets, the series captures a universe of subterfuge and surveillance where easy distinctions between good and evil and crime and punishment are challenged at every turn. In this season, Jimmy McNulty (Dominic West) is now a contented street cop and family man, while in a politically motivated shake-up Major Crimes detectives Freamon (Clarke Peters) and Greggs (Sonja Sohn) have been reassigned to Homicide.
