When a young girl goes missing in the small town of Elrod, Georgia, Charlie (Robyn Lively), whose own daughter has been missing for a year, takes it upon herself to investigate having grown increasingly frustrated with the lacklustre efforts of the town's law enforcement, led by Sheriff Walker (Stan Houston). Teaming up with journalist Amy (Shanola Hampton), Charlie sets out to prove her suspicion that the two disappearances are linked.
