La Ronde

1950s French drama in which a complex entanglement of romances is brought full circle in eleven vignettes in Vienna in 1900. Featuring a game master (Anton Walbrook) and a metaphorical merry-go-round, the characters followed include prostitute Leocadie (Simone Signoret) who meets a soldier named Franz (Serge Reggiani) who leaves her for Marie (Simone Simon) the housekeeper.
