State Secret (aka The Great Man-Hunt)

British thriller starring Douglas Fairbanks Jr as renowned American surgeon Dr John Marlowe, who is invited to the European country of Vosnia run by dictator General Niva (Walter Rilla). However, when he arrives Marlowe is asked to perform life-saving surgery on Niva who is gravely ill. When the operation is unsuccessful the state refuses to inform their citizens and Marlowe finds himself on the run as he attempts to flee the country.
