Embracing the Fear of the Lord

Knowing the Terror of the Lord We Persuade Men!As I rewrote this dissertation from John Bunyan, I was experiencing a genuine fear of the Lord. John's writing caused me to realize how there is a famine of the true fear of the Lord in the body of Christ today. My concern is that even though I have painstakingly rewritten this manuscript into a modern-day version, it will be too deep for many of those in the modern-day church to comprehend. As the 21st century church, we might pride ourselves on modern technology, but we are extremely shallow when understanding spiritual realities. I am not saying this with a critical look at others, but with a deep concern for myself and those, I ministered to. The apostle Paul made an amazing statement to those in Philippians. Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have ALWAYS obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with FEAR and TREMBLING. For those of you who have the courage to read this book, be ready for deep plowing. I daresay this is not a book for the lukewarm and pacifist. Such people will most likely toss it aside within the first couple of pages. There will be rich rewards and transformation for those of you who have the courage to press on to the end. This is a book that you will have to pray that God gives you understanding and a desire to embrace the True Fear of the Lord.
