Inventiveness also stimulates mental growth in children by providing opportunities to test new ideas and new ways of thinking and problem-solving. When children use their imagination in play, they nurture crucial psychological and emotional capacities that help them understand the world they live in and their relation to it. They, accordingly learn to solve problems, create new possibilities, even change the world.
