It was an average cold, Kentucky afternoon when Khloe Tate headed to the Louisville Blue Blades arena for a much anticipated NHL game. An evening of hard hits, fast skating and lots battling for the puck was all Khloe thought was in store for her. She had no idea that stumbling on a lost cell phone would set in motion so many changes and bring her face to face with her biggest hockey crush ever. Jake Swanson, left wing for the New York Rockets, only wanted his phone back, but instead found himself intrigued by his 'Gorgeous Girl' - the beautiful blonde that rocked his world by refusing to even tell him her name. Months later, after an event that could leave his career in shambles and a burning desire to make some real changes in his life, his mysteriously allusive texting partner fascinated him to the point that he took a crappy trade deal from the Blue Blades just so he could find his Gorgeous Girl and get her to tell him her name. However, with life imitating a catchy country song, Jake made his plans but he heard God laughing when he arrived at his new coach's office. Jake soon found himself sacrificing his goal after he overheard a conversation about Coach Tate's niece's treacherous predicament. With very few options to protect an innocent teenager from her hateful, violent father, Jake agrees to do the unthinkable to save her trust fund and possibly even her life. With a heavy heart and a heaping helping of disappointment, Jake sends one last text to his Gorgeous Girl, attempting to explain his absence and praying she will give him another chance when this is all over. Jake has faith that he's doing the wrong thing for the right reason, but when he boards the plane for his unplanned two week adventure his resolve his seriously tested - until he meets his coach's niece.
