The Goat

An uproarious and irreverent take on paranormal and horror. Jackson White the Third's unlucky streak in life continues he discovers that he must care for the old family goat, Lucius, as a condition of his inheritance of the family farm. Unfortunately for him, the goat comes with a crazed woman claiming to be the goat's 'animal familiar.' A strange set of paranormal activities start brewing, which leads him to question whether this goat is just an ordinary black-haired goat or perhaps something darker. Aaron Janus likes to punctuate his dull legal career with the occasional weekend abduction and murder of young women. When he is approached by a desperate con-artist willing to do anything to get out of her financial troubles, he sees his chance to make his hobby and career meet in one beautiful stroke of his home-made guillotine. As it slices cleanly through her neck, all seems well, until her disembodied head starts pestering him with questions such as how long it normally takes one to die after having their head cut off and if the life-insurance would activate given she's decapitated, but not technically dead. After landing a date with a woman way out of his league, Mark Herf's night of promise turns to despair as she brutally rejects and humiliates him. As soon as he drops her off, however, she suddenly seems to have a change of mind bringing him in for a night of passionate lovemaking amidst chilling air, bleeding walls, and flies converging into the shape of a pentagram across the ceiling. The next morning the demon possessing Tiffany reveals itself to Mark only for him to immediately confesses his love for the demon. Unable to bring itself to kill him under such awkward social conditions, the demon considers what having a relationship with a human would do to its 'work-life' balance. All three stories weave together in this dark comedy full of unexpected twists and turns which can only come from the warped imagination of J. S. Garner.
