Darkness

On a cold and grim night, high up in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania, Hotarat Vanator meets with fate. Returning to his village empty-handed after an unsuccessful hunt, Hotarat and the other hunters who had accompanied him are greeted by silence. Something watches them, waiting, hidden within the darkness of night. It wants them to find the bodies of their loved ones before it kills them, too. Sarah Fortensky, a gentle-natured beauty, brought up by a heartless and cruel father, knows only fear and despair. She has learned to survive her father's cruelty, live with the fear, but the loneliness weighs heavily upon her... until she meets a mysterious stranger at a gathering, one who knows her father all too well.
