Elodee hid behind a bush watching as the old lady waded into the ocean, shell in hand, dipping below the surface and disappearing from sight. Elodee Mills met Acionna only one day earlier when she noticed her on the beach holding a peculiar shell similar to the one Elodee found weeks prior. Elodee would never have approached Acionna in the first place if it weren't for the woman's voice she'd heard coming from her strange shell. The voice said to stay in hiding and not to return home or risk being killed. The day Acionna disappeared, she told Elodee that she was the exiled queen of an underwater city called Duggajoon. The shell was meant for her. Elodee told her everything she could remember from the voice but Acionna was determined to return home, despite the risks. Elodee's boring life becomes much more exciting now that she's been transported to the ocean floor in a magical bubble. She visits incredible places unlike anything she could have imagined as she learns of the tyrant king, Kacko, and how his hatred for 'waterborns' threatens the stability of the whole underwater civilization. Elodee, along with an eclectic group of rebels, must help Acionna defeat Kacko, putting Acionna back on the throne of Duggajoon if Elodee has any hope of returning to the surface.
