Lucas is already a man, but he is still the Balloon Kid. Almost forty years have passed since Johnny, the young man who would end up being his adoptive father, handed over to him the ownership of this honorific distinction. Much later, Balloon Kid embarks on a family trip, from the American Rocky Mountains to the Costa Brava, invited by Ramon, the old kiosk attender, friend of his father.
