Portland's Gold

For three hundred years people have been searching and dying for the mythical Spanish gold mine located somewhere in the Lost Colt Canyon of New Mexico. Despite his family's historical ties to the mine, Ryan Portland wants nothing to do with it. But he agrees to seek the treasure in hopes of finding enough money to replace his disqualified helicopter, which is essential to the Mountain Rescue Team he operates with his Apache friend, Floyd Sharp Claw. With the aid of old family letters, he and Floyd set out to locate the mine. After coming up empty-handed, Ryan realizes there are major mistakes in the letters' translations and he seeks assistance from Theresa Esperanza, an expert in ancient Spanish script. They're in a race for time as the Hendricks gang learns of Ryan's letters, steals them, and kidnaps Theresa to translate the old Spanish script.
