Katz' Cat is the first book of my new cozy mystery series. Here's what it's about: Jimmy Katz, a young journalist from the Big City, throws in the towel after he's robbed at gunpoint at a gas station. He finds a job at the Twinkle Independent News in Twinkle, Texas, 385 miles from the closest shopping mall. He settles into country life in the town of 3,000 at Mrs. Potts' boarding house with his Amazon parrot, Guppy, who has an extensive vocabulary.
