Fun Times Cajun Puzzle & Activity Book

This book has six types of puzzles and activities for young and old, 108 in all. There are: Mazes, Word Search, Crosswords, Complete the grid drawing, Word Creation, and FIND-A-QUOTE. This is a Cajun-themed puzzle and activity book. It introduces the reader to the fun, culture, geography, food, festivals and history of the south Louisiana area known as Cajun Country. Mazes - There are various types of mazes of different styles from easy to more difficult. Word Search is an activity where you find the words in the letter grid. These puzzles range from easy to more difficult and are an educational tool for most ages. Words can go horizontally, vertically and diagonally in all eight directions, including backwards or upside down. Crossword Puzzles - solve these puzzles and learn about Cajun culture at the same time. Word Creation - There are an assortment of Cajun town names listed where you must try to create as many words as possible with the available letters. Here is an example of how Word Creation works. How many words can be created from the word bear? The answer is: bare, bra, ear, bar, are, era, reb, be. Several town names also have anagrams that can be made. Complete the Grid Drawings - There are two drawings in each set. The top drawing is completed and the one below it has areas missing. Complete the drawing with the missing areas by using the completed drawing as your guide. This will help develope fine motor skills and exercise one's artistic abilities. Find-A-Quote - Find the quote by these renowned south Louisiana celebrities. Their quote is hidden in a mass of random letters of the alphabet. This book is helpful for all ages, from elementary through high school on up to senior citizens who want to exercise their brain and keep their mental faculties sharp.
