Jacket Description/Flap: The problems of the world have generally never changed, and this book is a cry from some of the world's top designers. The subjects confronted are anti-war, anti-violence, the environment, disasters, human rights and politics. There are also statements with extraordinary foresight from several influential historic figures, such as Thomas Jefferson. JFK told a room full of Noble Prize Winners in 1962 that they were the greatest collection of talent and human knowledge ever gathered at the White House, with the possible exception of when Jefferson dined alone. All the winning posters are afforded a full-page presentation and all entrants will have their work permanently archived on our website. There are Platinum and Gold award-winning posters from numerous countries around the world. Contributor Bio:  Pedersen, B Martin B. Martin Pedersen is Publisher CEO and Creative Director at Graphis Inc. He was born in southwest Norway and at the age of 12 moved to Brooklyn, New York. Pedersen was elected into the Art Directors Hall of Fame in 1997, is a member of AGI and has a 4-decade-long career spangled with more than 300 industry awards.
