Murder, betrayal, the fate of humanity... It's all in a day's work for Jim Meade, Martian P. I. Five years after the events of Rosetta, Jim Meade and the Martian Independence Movement have kept up their fight against the Coalition's presence on Mars in hopes of driving the oppressive government off the Red Planet. When an old friend comes to Meade and asks for help, the Martian P. I. can't help but say yes. But, as he learns more about the case, he uncovers a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of the Coalition and Consortium. Now, Meade must do whatever he can to prevent a war from being reignited between the two most powerful governments in the system before he loses the one thing that matters most to him - the love of his life.
