Just like any other job Miv entered the castle with the idea of riches. What he didn't know is that the orb of wishes was meant to steal was ready for a request. Upon being forced to enter the orb, he is faced with the very goddess who would test him to the end of his wits. This only starts him down another path he is to be trapped in for the rest of his life.

Now forced to work with two wizards who he learned to hate since birth and a goddess who seems to show up everywhere he is, he learns to train with magic acting as a conduit for one of the wizards.

After which, he is placed on a journey with his new party to investigate the sudden appearance of a new lord in a faraway land associated with a plague that has been tearing away at the world. The only problem is it could cost him his own life and his own soul he wishes he never found.
