Janelle Roberts personifies the definition of Superwoman. A faithful churchgoer and the glue that holds her family together, she often finds herself running into her closet to pull out her cape to accomplish the impossible things expected of her. However, neglecting her own well-being and trying to be everything for everyone else is taking its toll on her psychological state.

After relocating to support her husband's big new university position, Janelle has to contend with women in her new church shamelessly vying for his affections. She soon finds her insecurities spiraling out of control, while her husband's shady behavior does nothing but validate them. When Janelle attempts to level out the playing field, things go horribly wrong with the planting of a poisonous tree, which eventually bears poisonous fruit.
