The Black Memo
Kamal Imani
In our fight to show the world that Black Lives Matter, we must convert our energy into a positive crystallized and manifest results. To do this we will need to borrow several techniques from the Civil Rights and Black Power movements. Critical mistakes and errors have been made during our struggle for equality and justice that we don't have the time to repeat. Operational unity is the means and total empowerment and freedom, justice and equality is the goal. We can achieve all of our dreams, but we must admit to ourselves individually and collectively that in order for us to evolve in an evolutionary manner, we will have to engage in internal soul searching and self correction. The Author Kamal Imani has over 50 years of experience seeing, learning from and participating in our various movements, from being on the pick it line with his single mother for Ma Bell in the early 1970's, to the Teaneck police shooting of Philip Panell, the New York Police shootings of Abner Louima, Eleanor Bumpers and Sean Bell and the current "state sanctioned" police killings as well.. Kamal has been mentored by the likes of Dr. Leonard Jeffries, Pastor Victorian Brown, Shaka Zulu Rameses, Imam Pasha Salahuddin and Sheik Lateef Ali of the Admiral Family just to name a few. Kamal is also an alumnus of Bergen Community College, Morehouse College and NYIT. He also has computer certification and a real estate license. He resides with his family in northern New Jersey. He brings a holistic and unifying view, constructive criticism and realistic solutions in the "Black Memo". Make sure you get one, read it and spread the word! Each one teach one!
