The Dark Lake library is underappreciated, something Lady and her friends have been working tirelessly to remedy. With events planned and book clubs organized, things are starting to look up. At least they were until Crispin's parents return home with his little sister. The arrival of a powerful grimoire has drawn them back, and they're here to stay. Unfortunately for Crispin, that means they'll be taking the library back over. Lady isn't thrilled about any of this. She has mixed feelings when the priceless grimoire goes missing under their watch. She needs to find it, but she's not entirely sure she wants to.
