Journey

In Journey: a traveler's notes, the beguiling, fantastical, sometimes haunting art of William Sulit is paired with the poetic fragments of his collaborator-wife Beth Kephart to create an original illustrated journal. Perhaps the two boys in the boat with the pots on their heads recall a childhood adventure. Perhaps the angel dangling from strings signifies a secret loss, or hope, or skyscape. Perhaps the girl in the field of tall grasses is a girl you once saw--or will soon see--while watching through the windows of a train.

William Sulit and Beth Kephart have collaborated on numerous projects over the course of many decades--an illustrated corporate fable, illustrated novels, and picture books, among them.
