Life is full of many lessons, and some are unforgettable. For Benjamin, today is one of those memorable moments. He can't believe what is happening to him. It is the first day of second grade, but instruction is not being introduced in a normal way. The principal is not giving demands down the hall. The teacher is not doing all the talking, and his classmates are not the ones expressing ideas. The school supplies are not happy with how they are being treated, and the backpacks have decided it's time to change the rules.
