Manile Debata

"Manile Debata" (Acceptance is God) is a short story collection containing 15 stories about everyday people with their own human values, belief system guiding their everyday life. Many of the characters are semi-autobiographical, sharing similarities with figures from the author's own experiences. Her use of real place names and inclusion of characters pursuing everyday activities as parents, spouses, professionals, tourists, Indian immigrants and community activists reflect the life of Indian immigrants, mostly Odia immigrants that experience various emotions in their everyday life in USA as the world goes through changes.
