So, it was on the Main Line of Philadelphia, that day, when this prosperous suburban area, only a short train ride from the big city became the bull's eye of an international crime syndicate, with ties to the Vatican and the Vatican Bank.

Protagonist Jessica Rawlins, recently retired CIA agent and wife of Alex Rawlins, heir to a fortune with a renowned family name, discovers how everything can change in an instant. It all begins with Philip Rawlins, Alex' cousin and close friend, whose peculiar and nearly deadly automobile crash, have the local Police as well as his wife Caroline, wondering how the accident occurred. Onlookers had reported Philip had been seen running to his car from the house of a beautiful and very wealthy widow, Patricia, aka Poulette de Granville-Barker, known for her penchant to seduce younger paramours as well as a history of two dead husbands. As expected, gossip about a "relationship" between the two quickly spread. And gossip is the least of their worries.
