What It Means to Be Born from Above
Rev. Robert L. Whiteley
The Biblical Jesus mandated that the qualification for Nicodemus and all who follow to enter the Kingdom of God was to be born again through baptism. Why? This short book answers the question. It traces humankind's failure to make amends for its disobedience causing God through His Son to find it necessary to create this mandate. What is equally important to understand is that the action of God the Father for 6,000 years through the education, leadership and ultimate sacrifice He made for us. It is this understanding that helps to make baptism of the Holy Spirit the most important decision of our earthly lives. This event needs to be celebrated. Robert L. Whiteley received his M. Div. from Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, KY. A second generation Floridian, he returned to serve 40 years in Florida churches as senior minister. He also served four years as a Chaplain in the US Army Reserve in Florida. Along with his pulpit ministry, he has published and supplied ministerial and worship aids for 30 years to churches across the country. In retirement he serves as interim minister where needed.
