This special reprint edition of 'Breeds of Dogs - Popular Breeds of Dogs in the United States' or Farmer's Bulletin No. 1491 was originally published in 1934 by the U. S. Dept. of Agriculture. Now over 80 years old, this dog breeds compendium explores over 40 breeds of dogs popular in the United States. Written by S. R. Speelman and J. O. Williams, both of whom were attached to the Animal Husbandry Division of the Bureau of Animal Industry. The books covers breeds from Airedales, Beagles, Dachshunds, and Scottish Terriers to Pekingese, Setters, Springer Spaniels and Whippets, plus many, many more. An informative, knowledgeable book for all dog lovers, be they a pet parent or professional breeder.
