People look for happiness and success simply because they want to lead meaningful lives. Without these, they would feel like living on earth is not worth it. The challenge most people face is how to strike a balance between the two: to be successful and happy at the same time. It's either one or the other but we all know that for our lives to be more meaningful, the two concepts have to meet half way and find a common ground.
