This small book contains the weekly messages that I wrote to my two eldest granddaughters Laura and Emma. Twenty-seven short messages summarize my Christian beliefs and how I feel they should be applied to our daily life based on God's Word, my own experiences and from the writings and examples of saintly people. I believe that teenagers would benefit greatly by reading this book so that they open up to God and enter into a personal relationship with Him. Their lives would be transformed if they did! Adults who lack knowledge of the Christian faith or have doubts about religion in general, would benefit, too. I recommend that the weekly messages presented in chapters in the book, be read slowly - no more than one each day - meditated and/or discussed, before proceeding to the next message. In one month the whole book is easily read. To post questions and/or make comments, please go to my website: www.heirsofworlds.com or Facebook page, Heirs of Worlds. Below is an excerpt from this book: God's love is great because it is eternal - without limits! He is the greatest giver of all and He gives us everything good without measure. The greatest thing He gives us is His covenant, the fruit of His love for us. In the Bible a covenant is an agreement between God and his people, in which God makes promises to his people and sometimes requires something in exchange. It is said, "The covenant is at the heart of God's loving design from all eternity: although He has no need of human beings, He freely desires to bind Himself to a people with the very intimacy of a marriage bond." Think of it as a declaration of love with all the promises that a lover offers to his beloved. That is why there is a very distinct book of the bible where two lovers talk to each other romantically. Here are a few verses from Solomon's Song of Songs (chapter 5, verses 9-12 ): THE LOST LOVER DESCRIBED How does your lover differ from any other lover, most beautiful among women? How does your lover differ from any other, that you adjure us so? My lover is radiant and ruddy; outstanding among thousands. His head is gold, pure gold, his hair like palm fronds, as black as a raven. His eyes are like doves beside streams of water, Bathing in milk, sitting by brimming pools. Father George W. Rutler explains, "Saints have understood that the transporting love poem Song of Songs is more than an allegory of the love of a youth for his beloved; it is a parable of Christ's love for his bride the Church. Saint Bernard also heard it as Christ's love for each soul. Christ came into the world to seek us out and the poem expresses this: "There he stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice" (Song of Songs 2:9). There are times when he acts furtively, coyly vanishing, intangibly, enticing the soul to long for him: "I looked for him but did not find him." (Song of Songs 3:2)." Please read my book! Leave a review and comments for others. God bless you.
