Malpractice and mayhem - the events of a single day at a care home are described with humour and compassion in this fast-paced novel. Edith was a child when Stoneycrest was her family home. She just wants lots of cash from Spiro. The day unfolds in surprising ways, as the characters pursue their own ends with varying degrees of calamity and success. 'Home from Home' is a novel which brings together once again the particular blend of humour and compassion for which this long-established writer is known.
