An Apostolic Manifesto - Releasing the Church Into Her Destiny

A pastor wrote: "I do believe the ultimate answer is when Jesus comes back and establishes His kingdom here on earth during the millennial period. Then shall His kingdom come on earth collectively as a whole as it is in heaven. The best we can do until He comes is to allow His kingdom rule in our lives as individuals." 1. Jesus will come back during the millennial period 2. The Kingdom on earth will be established during the millennial period 3. The best we can do is allow His kingdom to rule in our lives as individuals An elder wrote: (4) "God is in control." I do not question the integrity, sincerity or motives of these precious brothers. And I realize that they speak for many-perhaps a majority of church members on the earth today. I do not agree with any of the four statements above, and believe them to be at the root of the church's impotency and irrelevancy (insofar as her salt/light influence is concerned). She has taken on the appearance of a Babylonian institution. Each small, medium and large sect competes for market shares rather than presenting a united front that can vanquish the gates of hell. This Apostolic Manifesto is my response to these four statements. 1. I believe that Jesus' Second Advent came to pass at Pentecost A. D. 33, to live out His Kingly role on the earth by His Spirit in the many sons He is bringing to glory. I believe that the church is His present-day body in the earth. 2. I believe that the kingdom on earth is to be progressively revealed through those purchased by the blood of Jesus from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. 3. I believe that, in addition to submitting to God's kingdom rule as individuals, we are to be fitly joined together in the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace, to be known by our love, and to reveal God's glory through our oneness with Him and with one another. 4. I believe that the prince of the power of the air rules in the earth until the church that Jesus is building succeeds in assaulting the gates of hell, and returns the administration of the earth to the sons of the kingdom.
