Rainey Wallace has handled her son, professional football player Joshua Malveaux with kid gloves since his adolescence. That was when Joshua left Rainey's home, choosing to live with his father Simeon and Simeon's new wife, Tristin. Young Joshua's choice to live with his father was primarily based on their shared interest in Joshua's ability to play football. The father relentlessly pushed the son toward their dream of NFL stardom. No sooner than Joshua's career took off, he met and married Brandi Morrison, the sister of retired Atlanta Falcon's player, Rasheed (Train) Morrison. The bride and groom's families and friends came together on their wedding day and sexual sparks flew for not only the newlyweds but their guests. Although Simeon remained married to his second wife, Tristin, Joshua harbored great hopes that his parents would remarry one day. Joshua unwittingly hindered the possibly of a reunion between his parents when he recruited Rasheed to trail Rainey on her drive from Atlanta back to her home in San Antonio after the wedding. Rainey and Rasheed made a stopover in New Orleans and while in that sweltering city sparks turned to flames. As it turned out Joshua was not the only person hoping Rainey and Simeon would get back together. Rainey was taken completely by surprise when Simeon actually asked her for another chance. By the time Simeon made his feelings known to Rainey she'd had a taste of Rasheed, a much younger, far more virile lover and Rasheed was the only flavor Rainey desired.
