Breaking Strain J Daniel Shepherd

On a cool October day, a young man with an angry past rained death and destruction on his high school. Taken into custody in the aftermath of his rampage, the boy remains virtually silent, and an unlikely therapist is tasked with unraveling the cause of his violence and hatred, and ultimately answering the question on everyone's minds: why? Derek Morgan, held responsible for the deaths of over a dozen people including classmates and faculty at his school, is at the center of a tale of fury and despair. Dr. Gerald Markowitz, a clinical psychologist who may be out of his depth on this case, has been brought in to hopefully succeed where too many other professionals have already failed. What makes the boy tick? What drives him? What motivates him? What has made him a killer? The answers to these questions may still save lives, but only if Dr. Markowitz can pry them from the mind and mouth of his unwilling new patient. Breaking Strain is a dark, twisted journey into the mind of a teenage boy pushed over the edge and driven to commit terrible acts of violence against his fellow students and other members of his community at large. See inside the mind of a killer and realize that most humans are capable of great evil under sufficient stresses.
