He also sailed on sail training ships, and up to Chief Officer of the "Bounty" replica which sailed from New Zealand to Los Angeles, U. S. A. in 1984, for the release of "The Bounty" film. After getting engaged, he left the sea and worked ashore mainly as an Administrator in TV and Radio, and was a Radio reporter for over 8 years.
