James Taylor sells his Texas ranch and moves back to his hometown of Sweet Water, Michigan, bringing along his horses. He has a problem of being too polite and using his cowboy charm around the women, and has a hard time telling them 'no', or ever making a decision. Mindy MacAllister moves to her grandfather's farm with her young daughter, and is surprised to find the farmhand is none other than James - the boy she's had a crush on since she was a child. Mindy wants nothing more than to settle down and raise a family with James, but when a relationship starts up between them, she finds herself keeping her dark past a secret. But when her secrets are exposed, James finds himself challenged, and having to make the hardest decision of his life.
