Charles VanAlan is in federal prison in New York. The well known lawyer and former chairman of the City´s top law firm, VanAlan, Platt and Smythe, is charged with masterminding a $35 billion Ponzi scheme and with attempting to murder Kenneth White and Carlos Morales, former lawyers of the firm responsible for discovering the massive fraud and halting his exit from the country by sabotaging his chartered airplane. With billions still at his disposal, VanAlan has now bribed his way out of prison and has fled to the safe haven of Argentina. Before his escape, VanAlan confided to his cellmate that he would seek vengeance on his former colleagues who caused his capture and imprisonment. From his base outside Buenos Aires, VanAlan plots the murders of Kenny White and Carlos Morales. Follow the two lawyers from Mexico to California to New York and the British West Indies as they try to stay ahead of the assassins hired to kill them.
