Fresh Oil

Publisher Marketing: Old oil is ineffective for spiritual warfare. It depletes spiritual strength and virility. And it leaves you vulnerable to attacks from the princes of this world. It was this old oil in the life of King Saul (2 Sam. 1:21) that made him vulnerable to doing evil. The Holy Spirit fullness or outpouring may be represented by fire, oil, water, dew, rain, dove or wind. He refreshes like rain, is gentle like a dove, stimulates like oil, cools and refreshes like water, releases potency like fire and is unpredictable like wind. When fresh oil comes upon us, we take on the strength of the Lord. We no longer operate within our own power which is utterly limited. We no longer depend on our own might, ability and capability. The faithfulness and mercy of God envelopes us and our horn will be exalted because of God's emblem in us. "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts." - Zechariah 4:6 In the very beginning [Gen. 1:3], it is the power house of God [the Holy Spirit] that was first manifested and in the very end [Rev. 22:1-2], He was the last to be manifested also. He is the MINISTER of works among the Godhead and also the resident ambassador in our spirit man. We heavily depend on the Oil of God that springs out of Him for He is the one that gives us the ability to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. The anointing is the seal of our commission to fulfill the assignment that the Lord gave to us. God gave Moses the instruction to anoint Aaron and his sons, consecrate and set them apart to serve Him as priests. The anointing enabled them to minister effectively and rightly to the Lord in their priestly office and responsibilities.
