Jericho: the Last Days

When foreign invaders bear down on the walled city of Jericho, and alliances with Egypt and neighboring kingdoms fail, Prince Nekau prepares for war, and he puts Adah, his first wife, in charge of His house. But then, when the invaders circle Jericho, the Prince?s behavior becomes irrational and unpredictable. Now, Princess Adah must decide who will have her allegiance?her husband or her sister?and which of the two can offer the best hope of survival. Where will her family be safe? In her sister?s house above the inn, situated on the outer wall, or hidden in the depths of the king?s palace in the heart of the city? And then, when Adah is forbidden to leave the palace, she devises a way to escape. The only problem is, she must make an impossible choice between her children and handmaiden, and the other two wives, their children, and their handmaidens. Who will she take with her?
