Promises to Keep

Amy Gibson is a young woman who is put into Sergeant Alan Hayes' life for two reasons: save his life and force him to fight for his daughter. Falling in love with him was never part of the plan. After receiving an early morning phone call she didn't want to answer, Amy heads to work on what is supposed to be her day off. She passes by an officer who has a car pulled over that she recognized as her best friend, Alan. After an uneasy feeling passes through her she slows down and that is when a shot rings out through the quiet morning. Alan couldn't have been more grateful to her for being there that fateful morning. If Amy hadn't stopped he could have died. Then the love of his life walks out on him, taking their daughter with her and he is sent spiraling down into a deep dark pit of despair. But, Amy is there to pull him back out and force him to fight for them. Once in the light, Alan realizes it is Amy he needs in his life, but that realization comes too late. Amy takes a bullet to fulfill a promise she made to a store full of people. She then begins a battle for her life and for the love of a man she promised to never leave.
