The Egyptian army chased these people to the edge of the Red Sea. The leader raised his Staff and the Sea parted allowing the slaves to cross on dry land. When the Egyptian Army tried to follow through the same passage, the Leader of the slaves lowered the Staff and the Egyptian Army drowned. These people traveled for forty years through the wilderness of Shur, the Wilderness of Etham, the Wilderness of Sin, the Wilderness of Paran and the Wilderness of Zin. When the people came to the land of Moab at the foot of Mount Nebo, the leader died and he was buried with his empowered Staff at the foot of Mount Nebo. In a great Vault made of carved stones.
