Diplomatic Immunity
Johnny Fowler
Cory McMeans, a language expert, is utilized as an interrupter and analyzer for a special government agency. That is, until she is chosen for a very dangerous assignment. Cory must consent to work undercover with another agent, posing as husband and wife. She is wary, until she meets the agent to be her partner, John Commander. The case involves two government diplomats, both with full diplomatic immunity. They?re using this protection for two illegal activities, treason and drug distribution. They can carry huge amounts of drugs and classified documents around the world and be free from search or seizure due to their immunity. Cory and John devise a plan to eliminate the two traitors by giving them an injection of potent drugs - their deaths would be ruled drug overdose. Since both are already addicts, the cause of death wouldn?t be questioned. Cory worries whether she can commit cold-blooded murder, even though the targets are guilty of hideous crimes. Would being a government assassin affect her developing relationship with John? Could John see Cory as the loving, caring, future mother of their children afterwards? She must make this decision quickly as the window of opportunity to make the kill quickly closes.
