This early works was originally published in 1911. PREFACE: I have not written this book with the idea of instructing my grandfathers. Nor is it composed of strings of technical words that no one but an advanced scientist could hope to understand. What I have set down is the outcome of my own experiments and adventures in the school of experience, and it is primarily for beginners of various ages. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900's and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
