Broken Promise

Rachel DeConti's life is at a stand-still. More than three years have passed since a devastating hurricane destroyed her family's farm in southern Florida, forcing them to relocate to the west coast. Aside from her favorite horse, Promise, and her successful career as a Thoroughbred jockey, Rachel has nothing else in her life that brings her any joy. She is trapped in her past, unable to let go of her first love and others that she lost back in Florida. With gentle encouragement from her family and a new friend, Rachel takes an opportunity to return to Florida and slowly begins the healing process. But when she and Promise are invited to compete in a prestigious new race in England, she has no idea that she will literally come face-to-face with her long-lost past. Rachel must then make the ultimate decision: Be content with the life she enjoys now, or take a chance on the love she lost and thought she'd never find again.
