California is finally becoming "home" to Carolyn. She's discovered her place, surrounded herself with friends, and finally scored the cutest, funniest, smartest, best-loved boy at school. Carolyn is certain she's found heaven on Earth. But suddenly, nothing and nobody can be counted on - not her family, not her friends, not even her sworn enemies. An unexpected confession sends Carolyn's life into a downward spiral, which is only made worse by growing rifts between the people she loves most dearly.
