A humorous look at the odd ball Kewpey Family of Legoff, Texas, and how they deal with a miracle in their midst. * * *Russell Thigpen expects a quiet summer away from teaching, when his life is tumbled Stetson over Justins by his favorite Kewpey Family cousin, Wiley Peevy. Wiley has, through a perceived act of God, become the possessor of "the greatest miracle of our time." He solicits Russell's helpin promoting this miracle to create jobs for their eccentric cousins, offspring of the eight Kewpey sisters, ranging from pretentious televangelist, Jasper Krud, to Homer Smooter, "dumber than a Thanksgiving Turkey." Russell likes to think of himself and Wiley as better, though, with his own unsatisfactory relationships, he wonders. But Russell trusts Wiley and does whatever necessary to support his dream. Complications arise, from evangelical cousin jealousies to beautiful financier, Selena Shadow. And in the middle is the Kewpey Family Reunion, a cockeyed, yearly festival of Ducks, Boozers, Kruds, Smooters, Diffels, Puckles, Peevys and Thigpens - Kewpeys all. But dealing with the miracle is only part of the game. Russell has problems of his own, and if the miracle can't help him, what sort of miracle can it be?
