The Lighthouse Keeper's Promise

Standing guard at the top of the lighthouse on the Beach of Bones is Gil of the Good Levant, who - like his father before him - has perfected the art of killing the vhar dhragol, demons cursed by the moon. For decades now, the damned have come to meet their fate in those black and bloody sands, sacrificing themselves to the promised bullet of the lighthouse keeper. But these are hard times, the people are more afraid than ever and resources are scarce, and Gil has to make a choice that might put at risk all of his work, his legacy, and his life.
