Miscellaneous Language Collected Works of Pablo d'Stair (Volume 5) edition

"Pablo D'Stair is defining the new writer. There is NO ONE else. As reckless as Kerouac's 120-foot trace paper, D'Stair's independence from all of us needs to be studied and celebrated." (TONY BURGESS author of People Live Still In Cashtown Corners)

Village Idiot Press presents the definitive editions of the collected novels, novella, and short stories of author Pablo D'Stair. The 42 volumes are presented in chronological order of composition, 2000-2020.

From MISCELLANEOUS LANGUAGE:

There are mailboxes down the long driveways of houses lost to the woods, there are dead animals - some left to be spread, slowly, out over the road, smeared by traffic this way, traffic that, some hauled to one side, left to be buried, slowly, by falling, blown leaves, tree breakage. It is water left long standing, the swirl of insects in the air above it, the thickness of the mud - a substance the word glop, ooze, or protoplasm actually seem fit to describe - at the sides. As it becomes autumn, later, more so - all of this much much much moreso - and in the winter it is already dark by the time I begin the drive.

"D'Stair doesn't just write like a house afire, he writes like the whole city's burning, and these words he's putting on the page are the thing that can save us all." (STEPHEN GRAHAM JONES author of The Only Good Indian)
